Don and I have both worked in the natural foods industry and at Whole Foods Market for years. We have worked in the retail environment, in the purchasing world and on the distribution side of things. It has always been fun for both of us to work with product, people and in a world where everyday is a new experience. We knew the day would come, we would create our own food business with quality standards, clean ingredients and a fun product.
Don has always enjoyed baking, trying different recipes and creating with chocolate. He took his hobby and started selling cookies, banana nut bread and chocolate items such as chocolate turtles & fudge at the local Buda and Dripping Springs Farmers Markets in 2013. From there, Chocolate Drop Confections was born.
Working the farmers markets the last few years turned into opening a food trailer on August 20th, 2016. Our trailer is a combination of bake goods and creamery items such as soft serve ice cream, cake, sundaes, pecan pie, cookies, brownies, fudge and more. We were honored to park our truck next door to Marbridge on the corner of F1626 and Bliss Spillar Road in Manchacha Texas. We will always be appreciative of Marbridge, their support and the beautiful work they do on a daily basis.
We moved our truck into our own town Buda and opened in downtown Buda in Sept 2018. We made a few changes to our menu. We still have the bake goods we always make but added burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and street corn to our menu. We also make our own fresh fries.
Please stop by anytime. Hope you enjoy tasting our items as much as we enjoy making them for you.
Thanks and hope to see you soon.
Don and Nancy
